Thursday 18 March was a lovely spring day in Nykøbing Falster.
We started off with a guided tour in the production of Metalcolour A/S. During lunch the Group General Manager Mr. Ingemar Forsberg gave a brief presentation of the new Metalcolour after the fusion of Metalcolour A/S and SSAB Laminated Steel AB.
Afterwards we headed off to Hotel Falster where the rest of the meeting was to take place.
During the meeting itself, Mr. Per-Erik Augustsson, SSAB, was elected to succeed Mr. Inge Sandén, SSAB, as chairman of the board for the next two years. The rest of the board and the election committee were re-elected for one year.
After the coffee break it was time for the guest speakers.
Mr. Kurt Fredriksson, Tikkurila gave an intriguing presentation of news in the area of painting on site on Zn surfaces and coil painted surfaces.
Mr. Patrik Reuterswärd, Swerea/KIMAB, gave an instructive presentation of why the new coming Swedish standards for repainting of steel, SS 184002-184007, are so important.
Mr. Graeme Peacock, ECCA, gave an interesting and informative presentation of the environmental challanges forcoil coaters (IPPC/REACH and the future).
We would like to specially thank them for coming to educate us and sharing their work with us.
Finally we wanted to show our appreciation to Mr. Inge Sandén for all the years and work he has put into S-ECCA and N-ECCA. A present of a more volatile nature was handed over and hopefully he won't forget about us.
